Refractory fiber coated lining
The lining of the furnace is used as a tool, such as mud knife, to apply the paste of fire-resistant fiber to the wall of the furnace, so as to form an adiabatic lining with excellent resistance to mechanical damage and resistance to air flow. The slurry is made of high alumina refractory aggregate, inorganic binder and bulk refractory fiber. The paste coating is similar to the premixed spray coating, but the former fiber material needs not to be pretreated with spheroidization. In addition, a large amount of refractory aggregate is added to the coating to increase the consistency and reduce the fluidity, thus it is convenient to apply the coating operation and improve the use temperature of the lining. However, the existence of aggregates also increases the thermal conductivity of the lining and weakens the adiabatic performance of the fiber lining.
