Properties of glass fiber
Melting point 680 degrees centigrade
Boiling point 1000 degrees centigrade
Glass fiber reinforced plastics as the reinforcing material, the biggest feature is tensile strength. The tensile strength is 6.3 to 6.9 g/d under the standard condition, and the wetting state is 5.4 to 5.8 g/d. The density is 2.54g/cm3. The heat resistance is good, and the temperature does not affect the strength when it reaches 300. It has excellent electrical insulation, is advanced electrical insulation material, and also used for thermal insulation materials and fire shielding materials. Generally, it is corroded by concentrated alkali, hydrofluoric acid and concentrated phosphoric acid.
