Drying shrinkage of kaolin
Drying shrinkage of kaolin refers to shrinkage of kaolin clay after drying. Kaolin clay is usually dehydrated at the temperature of 40 to 60 degrees centigrade at the temperature of no more than 110 degrees centigrade. The length and volume of the sample will shrink because of the water discharge and the shortening of the particle distance. Drying shrinkage, shrinkage and shrinkage were expressed by the percentage of the length and volume of the kaolin clay dried to constant weight.
