Application of kaolin in ceramic industry
The ceramic industry is the earliest and the most widely used industry. The general dosage is 20% to 30% of the formula. The role of kaolin in ceramics is to introduce Al2O3, which is beneficial to the formation of mullite, improve its chemical stability and sintering strength. In the sintering process, kaolin decomposes into mullite and forms the main frame of green body strength, which can prevent the deformation of products, widen the sintering temperature and make the green body have a certain whiteness. At the same time, kaolin has certain plasticity, cohesiveness, suspension and bonding ability, giving porcelain mud, porcelain glaze good formability, so that ceramic mud is conducive to car body and grouting, easy to form. If used in wire, it can increase insulation and reduce its dielectric loss.
